ACT Americas, LLC was founded in 2008 by Carl Henningson, Jr. We specialize in training, sales, consulting, and providing maintenance techniques for cryogenic equipment, including both reciprocating and centrifugal pumps. Since the staff at A.C. Technikos has more than 30 years in the cryogenic industry, we have the expertise to determine problems and provide accurate solutions quickly and effectively.

Carl graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and began his career with Union Carbide, Linde Division in Tonawanda, New York in the Distribution Engineering group. At Union Carbide, Carl operated the pump test laboratory and evaluated high-pressure cylinder filling and trailer pumps and high-pressure nitrogen pumps for oil well service and industrial cleaning. Carl then transferred to Union Carbide Canada, LTD., where he worked in sales and applied his knowledge of pumps and oxygen-materials compatibility to an oxygen fire flood research and development project in conjunction with one of the world’s leading oil companies. Carl’s career took him to New Jersey, where he was responsible for the maintenance of all distribution equipment at customer sites and of Union Carbide product-hauling equipment. From New Jersey, Carl ventured to Fife, Washington, where he established a trailer rehabilitation program for West Coast trailers and was responsible for maintenance of distribution equipment. He also gained experience in production by being responsible for the air separation plant in Fife.
Subsequently, Carl worked for Cryogenic Industries. At Pittsburgh Cryogenic Services, Inc., which services and maintains cryogenic pumps, Carl managed the sales, production, and accounting departments. From there, Carl transferred to ACD, LLC, the leading manufacturer of cryogenic pumps and turbo-expanders in the United States. Here, he was the General Manager and Vice President of the manufacturing operation. At ACD, Carl was also responsible for an international network of service centers, which maintain equipment for ACD’s customers.
Carl founded A.C. Technikos in 2008 to counsel clients on various aspects of their cryogenic business. As one of the industry’s leaders, Carl is bringing his vast experience in the cryogenic business area to those who require consultation in critical situations.
